Air Quality: What's New at the State and Local Level? by Susan Wierman U.S. state and local air quality agencies face many hurdles in the coming months. At the same time, funds for state and local air quality programs are threatened. In this issue, EM considers some of the hot topics being addressed at the state and local level, including the persistent problem of ozone pollution in California, the collaborative work to reduce mercury in the Northeast, the pending revisions to the federal New Source Review program, and the development of Mexico’s first national inventory of air pollutant emissions.
